We define Special Purpose units as those dependent on Marco’s bespoke design and build expertise to fulfil very specific needs. Invariably, the end product (there may be multiple units manufactured once the prototype is completed) is unique in concept, construction and function. The realisation of a successful special purpose unit demands close involvement with the customer to understand the key requirements and ingenuity from Marco to satisfy them – a process in which we have proved to be reliably proficient. Such units – static or mobile, complex or comparatively simple – fall within no particular category. Their common factor is innovation. Examples have included:

• all-terrain aeronautical ground control station (Cranfield/The Boeing Company)
